Boxing Day saw the annual Morris Men tour of Claygate's pubs, and fundraising for The Hub
As is tradition, the Thames Valley Morris Men (TVMM) once again entertained the Claygate community with their annual Boxing day display. They have been dancing 'Cotswold-style Morris' for over 70 years, and travel far and wide to showcase their skills, and the tour of the Claygate pubs is a highlight in the local calendar!
A fortunately dry Boxing Day saw hundreds of people turn out at the four pubs throughout the late morning and afternoon, and The Hub was again honoured to be chosen as their charity, raising over £650 in the process.
TVMM train weekly in the winter months, and use The Hub's hall for practice. For the past three years, they have offered to showcase their dances at one of our evening sessions, always popular with our youth and extremely willing participants! We can't thank them enough for their ongoing support to our community.
