QUITE THE TURN ON...
On Saturday, we had a blast at the Claygate Village Association's Christmas Lights Switch-On. Hub volunteers and young people sold cookies, brownies and hot chocolate and our lucky dip was a big success! Thank you to everyone who came to see us at the stall and to Newton Huxley for letting us use their electricity🎄☃ We also have to shout out the wonderful Hub members who helped set up the event, putting out barriers all along the Parade and who helped at our stall. This week, we had a visit from one of our local councillors (and a big Hub supporter!), Mary Marshall, who came to see the weird and wonderful creations our Hub members made out of donated recyclable materials. Thank you to Mary for coming along! It was great to see everyone's creativity while making these as well as the variety of different creations, from a Star Wars Destroyer to a house! LEST WE FORGET...
Last Sunday, our very own Hub members, Elloura and Lily, and our Chair of Trustees, Susannah, took part in the Remembrance Day Parade in the village. It was an honour to be included and to remember and reflect on the sacrifices made by the brave men and women for our freedom. At the going down of the Sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.

BONFIRE NIGHT 2025
This week at The Hub, we're celebrating Bonfire Night! 🔥🎇 Yesterday evening, we toasted marshmallows in the fire pit, lit sparklers, and enjoyed lots of pumpkin-based food made from leftovers from Halloween. It was a wonderful evening and we had a visit from The High Sheriff of Surrey, Peter Cluff and his wife. Thank you so much for coming along and finding out first-hand what The Hub's about.

The money raised will in essence allow us to a) carry on the work we are doing b) do even more for young people To all those that were there till the end singing and dancing their hearts out that was so much fun. I want to thank the village - in particular our neighbours in Elm Road and St Leonards Road who put up with the noise. You all played your part in rais

Enjoy sewing? We need you!
Our monthly Bike Repair Cafe has been running since May and we are thrilled that we have been able to help so many members of the community with their bikes. BUT we would like to do more. We want to add textile repairs to the Repair Cafe! However, we can't do this without keen sewers and menders who could bring along their sewing machines. The next repair cafe will take place on Sunday 12th October at 10am - 11:30am. If you have a spare hour and a half and like to sew, we wou
