High Praise indeed...

I am really please to announce that Claygate Youth & Community Hub has been awarded the High Sheriff of Surrey award. We were invited to an event in Guildford along with 30 other recipients and able to take some of our longest serving volunteers. Such a huge honour and I'm so grateful to The High Sheriff - Peter Cluff and his wonderful wife Suzanne for the support they've shown us. Last November they came along to a Hub session, rolled up their sleeves and volunteered for the evening. They saw first hand how much fun we have and the work we do in creating this safe place for young people to hang out.

I was given 5 mins notice that I was making a speech but it was wonderful to talk about our incredible volunteers especially Linda. Linda has been part of Claygate Youth Club since 1984. Whether behind the scenes or on the shop floor Linda has been there.

We have other volunteers who have been here for 10, 9, 8, 7 years etc and The Hub wouldn't work without them. So grateful for all the hard work they put in and the chance to shout about them.
