We’re excited to announce a new project in partnership with Lower Green Community Centreour monthly Bike Repair Cafe. Starting in the coming months, this initiative will offer bike repairs and teach valuable hands-on skills to young people interested in learning about bike maintenance.

We are working in tandem with Lower Green Community Centre who will be offering more regular bike repair sessions as well as the opportunity to help salvage an unused, old bike.

This joint project promotes sustainability through recycling and reusing. By repairing old or broken bikes, we’re helping reduce waste and fostering a greener, more sustainable future for our community.

It also will empower young people in the community by giving them the opportunity to learn a practical skill while being mentored by more experienced bike repairers.

But we need your help to make this initiative a success. Whether you have bike repair experience or are interested in taking on a coordinator role (no bike expertise required), we’re looking for volunteers to join our team.

If you’re passionate about supporting this project and want to get involved or would just like to find out more about it, please reach out to us at allie.rivero@claygatehub.org.uk or visit the ‘Contact Us’ section on our website.
