Our last Repair Cafe...

On Saturday 17th May, we held our first Bike Repair Cafe! Our four amazing repairers fixed up over twenty bikes and our Hub members got involved helping in the kitchen and lending a hand with repairs.

Bicycle Wheel Repair

Our upcoming repair workshops:

Saturday 21st June, 10am - 11.30am

Our monthly repair café allows the community to work with our young people, fixing bikes and making them safe and roadworthy again.

The repair café offers three different types of services:

  1. A drop-in repair service for basic and common repairs e.g., punctures, oiling, loose bolts

  2. A book-in service for simple repairs requiring specific parts e.g., handlebar grip replacements (these parts are to brought in by you - our repairers can advise on what you need to purchase)

  3. A diagnostic service for more complex repairs

For example, if a bike requires specific parts which we won't have to hand, our repairers won't be able to carry out the repair on the day but they will advise you on what to purchase then, at the next session, they can attempt to fix it for you!

We are always looking for helpers  who are can share their skills, or spare bike parts or tools which you can donate.

There are no set costs for the service but as we are a charity, we require the covering of the costs of any parts used and a small donation is encouraged.

Teas, coffees and pastries also available whilst you wait!
